A short visual poem about the early years of my life. I gathered a bunch of old video cassettes, and recorded a bunch of random bits from my childhood. The aim was to reflect a bit on who I was and what I am now. However, the idea was largely inspired by a scene from Cowboy Bebop, where the character watches her old tapes to try and remember who she was as a kid. She couldn’t, and it felt more like watching a stranger’s life. We don’t often hold on to our childhood memories, and it can be easy to forget where we came from. No matter what, I want to move on forward with a smile on my face. I wonder if anyone recognizes the song I’m humming…
