Shelter in Places
Taken April 9, 2020 around my childhood home.
When one is asked to stay-at-home, places that we never thought about before can gain a threatening aura. Where do we look for comfort then? A month after quarantine was officially established in the US I was on my last semester of college. All students were kicked out of the dorms, and so I spent the rest of my semester at home. Over the past 4 years I rarely spent anytime home, so I was forced to reevaluate the spaces I now inhabited. Even with a mature mind, whatever lingering fear there was in this home I grew up in was still there. I sought to evoke unsettling and creepy feelings in familiar places.
